Gary was born and raised in Washington D.C. and has been painting landscape scenes of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia since 1996. He and his family have recently relocated to Warrenton, Virginia from the Shenandoah Valley, where he served on the Board of Directors at the Shenandoah Valley Art Center (SVAC). Gary has exhibited many of his works at the SVAC, at the annual Virginia Fall Foliage Art Show held in Waynesboro, Virginia, the annual Warrenton Arts and Craft Festival, and at his studio with River District Arts in Sperryville, Virginia. His art is on exhibit at Local Thirty-Five in Warrenton, Virginia, and at his studio and gallery at River District Artists, Washington, Virginia.
Gary has a great love of being near the water and many of his paintings have been inspired by sights along the Delaware and Maryland coast. His paintings also draw from the many landscape scenes discovered during his travels throughout the east coast area. His art portrays the brilliant colors and shapes of farm, mountain, and water scenes inspired by his love of nature.
Gary works mainly in acrylic, oil and watercolor. For him, painting is a way to document the beauty and moods of nature by capturing it onto canvas or paper. His works should provide enjoyment to people who appreciate fine landscape art.
